BHOP is funded by Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives. The goal is to develop a platform that will be used across disciplines. BHOP selected a core set of outcomes that can be used across the majority of neurological and mental health conditions to comprehensively assess patients' health status. The core set comprises bilingual patient-reported outcomes and performance-based cognitive tasks that were selected based on their strong psychometric properties.
The BHOP provides a secure web-based platform to collect a unified dataset across all areas of neuroscience research but still adaptable to the individual needs of the researcher. The BHOP team is committed to the principles of the Open Science initiative. The success of BHOP will provide a source of behavior data at a scale that can address current concerns of study reproducbility.
